Steve Mitchell has written, produced and or directed over two hundred hours of television programming. His resume includes Creating and Ex. Producing THE PRETENDER on NBC for 5 years and Writing and Ex. Producing TIN MAN a six hour mini series for the SyFy channel which to this day still stands as the project with the highest ratings both domestically and internationally in the history of that network.
Rick Jaffa began his entertainment career in 1981 in the mailroom of the William Morris Agency. He became the executive assistant to the legendary agent, Stan Kamen, who was then head of the Motion Picture Department. Later, as an agent, Jaffa represented writers and directors, packaging films as diverse as "Robocop" and "The Trip to Bountiful.”
Jaffa has collaborated with his wife/partner Amanda Silver for 20 years, writing and producing films such as THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE and EYE FOR AN EYE. Jaffa and Silver are currently writing and producing CAESAR: RISE OF THE APES at 20th Century Fox, which is a re-imagining of the PLANET OF THE APES franchise.
Amanda Silver, a native of New York and graduate in history from Yale University, was an executive assistant at Tri-Star Pictures and Paramount Pictures before enrolling in film school at University of Southern California, where she earned her MFA in Screenwriting.
THE HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE, her thesis script, opened in 1992. An Ace Award winning episode of FALLEN ANGELS, entitled MURDER OBLIQUELY, followed in 1993. Silver has written and produced screenplays with her husband and collaborator Rick Jaffa for 20 years, resulting in such films as EYE FOR AN EYE and the THE RELIC. The couple is currently writing and producing CAESAR: RISE OF THE APES at 20th Century Fox, which is a re-imagining of the PLANET OF THE APES franchise.
Michael B. Silver was born and raised in NYC, Michael graduated from Brown University and has worked in over 150 TV and Film projects over the last 20 years. Highlights include recurring roles on CSI: MIAMI, ELI STONE, SHARK, ER and he’s best known as Leo Cohen on NYPD BLUE. Recently, he’s worked on DARK BLUE, HEROES, LIE TO ME, DEFENDERS, ROYAL PAINS and THE MENTALIST. Michael teaches acting at The Theater Tribe, has written for SHE SPIES and MEDICAL INVESTIGATION and is currently writing for Vin Diesel’s, THE ROPES. Love Shack, is Michael’s first feature, which he acted in and co-wrote/co-directed with his little buddy, Gregg Sacon.
Mark Feuerstein is currently starring in the new USA series ROYAL PAINS. He was most recently in the Ed Zwick film, DEFIANCE. Other films: IN HER SHOES, WHAT WOMEN WANT, THE MUSE. Christopher Boyer was born in the mountains of western Maryland, Christopher Boyer’s first performance was as the lead in his kindergartens’ class play THE LITTLE GINGERBREAD BOY. The reviews were fair to middling and so in a fit of artistic pique he abandoned the theatre. Having arrived in Hollywood nearly 35 years later he has since found his place in the sun.
Mr. Boyer has appeared in over 20 feature films, countless commercials, and some 40 odd episodes of television; including such hit shows as: E.R., N.Y.P.D. BLUE, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, LAS VEGAS, GRAY’S ANATOMY, NIP/TUCK , MONK , CRIMINAL MINDS, and most recently, PRIVATE PRACTICE. LOVE SHACK; however, is his favorite film to date, as it truly was a great collaboration of cast and crew, writers and directors.
Among other things, Mr. Boyer is an award winning chef, accredited farrier, blue water sailor, national match sharpshooter, expert horseman, Ordained Minister and very much enjoys his garden and his life here in sunny, southern California.
Philippe Brenninkmeyer was born in Wimbledon, England to Dutch parents. He spent his early acting career in London studying acting and working extensively in London theatre. Critically acclaimed London theatre credits include: MEPHISTO, ROMEO & JULIET, THE RIVALS and WOYZECK.
In 1996, Philippe moved to New York City to pursue a career in American theatre and film. While in New York, Philippe won leading roles in several award-winning theater productions including: NO EXIT, OUR COUNTRY’S GOOD, KING LEAR, AS YOU LIKE IT and MACBETH. In early 2000, Philippe pursued work in Germany’s television & film industry. Almost overnight, he became a household name. There, he’s starred in: LIEBE-LUGE,-LEIDENSCHAFTEN 1 & 2, PERFECT HARMONY, UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD, THE DIAMOND DIVER AND HORSEMOON and the popular German television series GIRLFRIENDS. On the big screen Philippe has worked with the Comedy Troupe Broken Lizard in three of their films: SUPER TROOPERS, BEERFEST and a small Cameo in SLAMMIN’ SALMON… he has also appeared in CHOKING MAN (GHOST ROBOT) and the award-winning independent film NIOULARGO. Notable American television performances include: SEX AND THE CITY, LAW & ORDER, MAD MEN and CSI MIAMI.
Philippe splits his time between New York, Los Angeles and Berlin.
Amberlee Colson, born and raised in Orange County, has loved studying her craft in both Los Angeles and New York. In 2007 she collaborated with fellow artists from The Atlantic Theatre Company in New York to create a London based theatre company, Ricochet. She starred in as well as produced two successful short films, ONLY IN MIAMI (San Antonio Film Festival), and GOOD THINGS (Claremont Five Second Festival). Her film credits include: GOOD DICK (2008 Official Sundance Selection), and LOVE SHACK. Amberlee recently finished a run of her one woman play, which she wrote, produced and starred in, titled, BIG HAIR, here in Los Angeles at the Meta Theatre.
Ian Gomez is a familiar face to film and television audiences. Ian is currently starring in the ABC comedy, COUGAR TOWN, alongside Courtney Cox.
He was also most recently seen starring in the Lifetime comedy, “Rita Rocks”, starring as a member of Nicole Sullivan’s band and as John Stamos’s best friend in the ABC sitcom JAKE IN PROGRESS. He starred as the award-winning popular character Javier on the series FELICITY, as the shameless self-promoter Larry Almada on THE DREW CAREY SHOW and as Danny Sanchez on THE NORM SHOW. He has also starred in such feature films as MY LIFE IN RUINS, I HATE VALENTINE’S DAY, CONNIE AND CARLA, DICKIE ROBERTS: FORMER CHILD STAR, CHASING PAPI and MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING.
Gomez’s decision to focus on acting began when he was a member of the famed Second City comedy group, where he spent seven years. He made weekly appearances at Chicago’s ImprovOlympics, developing his improvisational skills which he showcased when he guest starred on the hit improv series, WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY?
His other television credits include guest starring roles on GEORGE LOPEZ, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, NYPD BLUE, MURPHY BROWN and the television movie GET A CLUE.
A self-proclaimed Russian-Puerto Rican-Jewish Greek Orthodox born and raised in Manhattan, Gomez credits diversity as a key to his success. He is married to another Second City alum, actress Nia Vardolos, acclaimed for her feature film MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING, which was based on the couple’s wedding and Gomez’s introduction to this wife’s family.
He, his wife, and their daughter make their home in Los Angeles.
Molly Hagan is an acting veteran who has had the privilege of working with some of the most talented directors in Hollywood such as John Rich, Blake Edwards, Alexander Payne, Neil Abramson, Neil Burger and Kevin Smith.
Highlights in movies are: SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL, RINGMASTER, ELECTION and THE LUCKY ONES. In TV her faves are: THE NUTT HOUSE, HERMAN'S HEAD, UNFABULOUS and CHAOS.
Ben Shenkman has worked in theater, movies and tv for 15 years (highlights include MONEY-SHOT, THE FLUFFER and of course, ANAL IN AMERICA.) This last year he did recurring guest roles on GREY'S ANATOMY and BURN NOTICE, and will be seen in the upcoming indie films BRIEF INTERVIEWS WITH HIDEOUS MEN, SOLITARY MAN and BLUE VALENTINE.
Paul Vaillancourt is a writer, actor, director and improvisor who has been making stuff up for nearly 20 years. He is a graduate of the Comedy Sportz Training Program in Virginia, the Second City Training Center in Chicago as well as the legendary Improv Olympic in Chicago where he had the rare opportunity to study under the legendary Del Close.
After his group, Bitter Noah, was selected to perform their signature piece, THE IMPROVISED MOVIE, at the US Comedy Arts festival Paul moved to Los Angeles and founded the iO West where he has been teaching, directing and performing (both written and improvised shows) ever since.
During his time in Hollywood Paul has become a sought after improv coach, producer and consultant working on such shows as Oxygen’s GIRLS BEHAVING BADLY, Fox’s pilot FOOTHOOKER (with Steve Levitan) as well as a score of shows for MTV including THE JANICE DICKENSON SHOW (pilot), TOUGH ENOUGH III, THE BLAME GAME (which he also co-created) and a half dozen celebreality shows.
Paul Willson played "Paul" in the final three seasons of CHEERS, and before that was a regular on IT’S GARRY SHANDLING’S SHOW (now on DVD). He has guest-starred on many TV series, including FRASIER, ALLY MCBEAL, X-FILES, STAR TREK VOYAGER, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, ENTOURAGE and many other shows made before most people living today were born (e.g., LAVERNE & SHIRLEY); recurred most notably on MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE, THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW and GEORGE & LEO, and appeared in OFFICE SPACE, THE GOODBYE GIRL, PROTOCOL, PROBLEM CHILD 2, and many other films. Paul is a member of the long-running improv group Off The Wall (with the delightful Bernadette Birkett) and the Antaeus Company, which is dedicated to classical theater, not cheap smut like LOVE SHACK.
Susan Yeagley was born and raised in Nashville, TN. At a young age she realized she didn’t have the voice to become a country singer so she opted to become an actress. At the age of ten she won an acting role in an Amy Grant music video. For compensation she was paid twenty-five dollars cash and an Amy Grant album. She still has that twenty-five dollars but they are not the original bills.
Susan graduated from USC Film School with honors and went on to become a member of the prestigious ‘Sunday Company - Groundlings Improv Group.’ It was during that stint that a casting director saw her perform and cast her in her first film role, Cameron Crowe’s ALMOST FAMOUS. Her list of other film credits include, the Coen brother’s, INTOLERABLE CRUELTY, COYOTE UGLY, and most recently in the Tim Robbin’s film, THE LUCKY ONES.
Her numerous guest-starring roles on television shows include, ER, FRIENDS, RENO 911, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM, MIRACLES, ELLEN, EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, THE SARAH SILVERMAN PROGRAM, RULES OF ENGAGEMENT, and most currently a recurring role on the Brad Garrett sitcom, TIL’ DEATH.
Susan currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and son although her heart will always be in Nashville.
